Sweet & Savory~

Miam! Miam!
Having dinner with a couple of my new French Camarades. All ages welcome~
Boudin Blanc
A delicious sausage made of rather mysterious meat, paired with sautéed apples~
Sarah's last night before leaving Bordeaux and heading to Paris, France.
“Just speak very loudly and quickly, and state your position with utter conviction,
as the French do, and you'll have a marvelous time!” -Julia Child

Joyeux Anniversaire, Sarah~

Celebrating Sarah Atkinson's Birthday
Prepared our celebration with none other than wine, fromage, et baguettes.
To our surprise, one of the bottles of wine costs less than the fromage~
Ha! Only in France~

Double Trouble
Ready for dinner and bars~
Delicious nouriturre at le restaurant Auguste
Being in an all french-speaking city and still polishing our tongue,
a couple of us received different plates than we ordered.
~A lesson in cross-cultural communication~
I loved hearing Radiohead songs being played amongst the continuous mix of French music.
Fine Wine & Good Spirits
At HMS Victory Bar in le Centre Ville. Monday nights are English Trivia Nights.
Being native English speakers in a French speaking city bar, we "should" have the advantage.
The team in the bar that wins Trivia Night gets 1-minute behind the bar to
top off, fill up, & sieze any and all drinks they want.
But alas, it was not our win tonight.
Birthday girl taking a drink for a future Trivia night win while in Bordeaux!
Later, fireworks burst into the sky from the mouth of a tortoise statue crawling in the centre.
...It was an amusing site to see...Not a bad birthday celebration I'd say.
