POMPEII, ITALY~

Took a gorgeous train ride to the ancient Roman city of Pompeii, Italy~
A short motion picture of soaking in the sun and exploring the ruins ;P
Ended our expedition by stopping at a family-owned, Italian ristorante for GELATO. Yummm!
Instantly welcoming and warmhearted, they reminded me of how
strangers are just friends you haven't met yet.
Pompeii, you did us right!

NAPLES, ITALY~

SOUTHERN ITALY
The gorgeous chaos, the laundry hanging across narrow lanes on every level of a building, the sheer number of people and things spilling out of every doorway and street, the crumbling walls...
With all the noise, all the decay, all the havoc, and all the people,
Naples is an assault on the senses
There is no red carpet laid out for outsiders. It doesn't try too hard, nor does it put on a coat of polish. If anything, it's the lack of polish that makes it so visually stunning.
It's said, you either love it or hate it. And my golly, I loved it immediately.
Naples turns up the volume on everything,
not slowing down for anything or anyone.
FACT: The modern pizza was BORN in Naples, Italy.
So without question, our first stop was a pizzeria to feast on authentic, Italian deliciousness.
DRUNK. IN. LOVE.
Have you ever seen two girls crying into their pizzas from happiness???
...i have...
Now, to soak in the Tyrrhenian Sea~
Look ma, no hands!
Per usual, each new city brings about a new apartment and a fresh kitchen.
In Naples, Emma--our Italian Queen--stirred up her grandmother's Risotto recipe. Delicioso!
And of course, dinner comes with hours of conversation over the table~
With different backgrounds, upbringings, and pasts,
we get to know each other a little more every. single. day.
